Cruising tunes..
The weather seems to warming up in Arkansas. Hit the road today for a little cruise .Just wondering what everyone is listening to while out on the road. Me personally anything from the 70s 80's classic rock. ZZtop, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Tesla ect.

Re: Cruising tunes..
When I was still working, I upgraded the factory radio to one with a USB port and listened to music from my iPod. I have stuff from A Perfect Circle all the way through the alphabet to ZZ Top. Played non-stop around the clock, it needn't repeat for six weeks. None of that "Top 40" programming that repeats a tune within the hour for me. :D Don't listen to the radio in the truck (need to get some speakers installed) or the motorhome (since the wife can't agree on a sound level).

This is my high-tech audio system. Sits on the hump connected to my phone it will play louder than I need or want. Sound quality isn't bad for a Bluetooth speaker..

Re: Cruising tunes..
That looks pretty cool! I have a pass-through from the cab into the bed, if one is limber enough. I have a bunch of 13mm Baltic birch plywood that I was considering making speaker enclosures out of. That project is in cue, but pretty far down.

Re: Cruising tunes..
I'm listening to 330 horses making themselves known through dual 2.5 inch stainless exhaust. One of these days I'm going to find my original AM/FM radio and put it back in.

Re: Cruising tunes..
I have a factory AM radio in my 68 C10, so my only choices are talk radio or Mexican music, so I opt to listen to my motor too.
You'd think there would be at least one country music station on AM. I like your music selection though. |
Re: Cruising tunes..
Camshaft and Twice-Pipes is the only music I need.

Re: Cruising tunes..
I listen to both kinds of music in the WMB. Country and Western music. Although occasionally some Bluegrass does work its way into the mix.
Mostly 50's through the 80's played through my Gary Tayman modified factory radio. That my fifty year collection is stored on a single USB drive is amazing. |
