HELP Antenna Cable Routing
2 Attachment(s)
I am just wrapping up an 8 year restoration of a 1966 C10. I cannot remember how the antenna cable was routed. I have seen the threads on the forum where a hole is drilled just below the window pillar. There is no hole and in the area under the window pillar on my 66 and there is several layers of steel where the door frame attaches. I had an antenna before the restoration. I have included a couple of pictures. If someone could show me a picture of how their antenna cable is routed I would really appreciate it.

It looks like someone probably Seam sealed over the top of it.

Re: HELP Antenna Cable Routing
Thank you for the response. My truck never had a hole there, there is no evidence of me filling it in with weld or seam sealer, but I guess that is what I am going to do because I can't remember how it was routed prior to tearing it apart 8 years ago. Pains me to drill a hole.

Re: HELP Antenna Cable Routing
The antenna hole on my '61 was the same.
I never listen to radio, so I filled all the holes and run no antenna at all. |
Re: HELP Antenna Cable Routing
Technically your antenna hole in your cowl panel is in the wrong location . In 1965 and 1966 the hole was closer to the hood edge of the panel .

The green panel antenna is 1964 only, the black antenna cowl panel is 1965-1966 so you can see the correct location.
