Heater control panel light has gray wire that go to instrument cluster connection.

The wiring diagram for 1968 Chevy C10 says the gray wire for the heater control panel light goes to the instrument cluster connection.

Where is that located at?

In the dash, plugged into the back of the instrument cluster

There is a location on the fuse panel. Used to have my tilt column light plugged into there. Things are a bit different now with the new AAW harness.
Had my old fuse panel in a box and took a pic for you.

Hey thanks! But I was looking for the instrument cluster connection. According to the above post it is located right on the back of the dash panel.

Mine has the secondary gauges so the wiring isn't the same as a speedo and fuel gauge only truck but the heater bulb socket is connected into pin 8 on my gauge cluster.

The connector is #13. It's in the pdf manual, which you can download off this site

Here are a couple of photos of my ‘68 C10 heater control light pigtail and the instrument cluster connector as it appears when still plugged in. The single gray wire pigtail connector from the heater control light plugs into a connector with two gray wires.

The instrument cluster connector has one gray wire on the top row of the connector. The top row is colored as follows: black, gray, dark blue, light blue, light green and possibly black on the passenger side top end.

The bottom row: dark green, blank, brown, red/pink?, brown and black (?) on the passenger side bottom row.

I have highlighted the gray wire with an arrow on the instrument cluster connector. I know it looks like a black wire in the photo because of how it’s shadowed, but it’s gray.

The photo that 68 TT provided looks to be the same way that mine is wired.

These are looking up, so try to get your orientation correct.

Thanks! I located what I think is the black female connector that the heater light plugs into and it looks like it leads back to the instrument cluster connection. Thanks guys!

Awesome! This further confirms that I have found the correct connector for the light. Thanks!

There is a single bulb if the heater is standard and two bulbs if you have air conditioning.
