I picked up this beauty farm truck a few weeks ago. It was a 4 1/2 hour drive pulling it home on a dolly behind a uhaul in the snow.🤣

It runs and drives but I've been slowly making improvements 1 day at a time.

Welcome! Seems like it was worth the snowy trek to get it!

I lucked out BIG TIME yesterday.

A really nice guy about 2.5 hours away gave me bumpers for the truck. Now I have a straight front to replace the twisted one that came on the truck and a step bumper for the rear. DAMN that rear is heavy! LOL

I've always liked those bardon bumpers. Both my 64 3/4 tons had them. My 64 GMC has a telescoping one that was used for campers that hung over the back of the bed. They mount to the frame pretty much like a tow hitch so pulling a trailer offers more peace of mind haha

Great looking truck! Awesome score on the bumpers also!

Installed the rear step bumper & 3 point seat belts last night.

You know you're getting old when you work on your truck for a few hours and you can barely move the next day!! :haha:

Looky what i just picked up for my inline 6!

Met a really nice older gentlemen who use to run a speed/machine shop on his property. He drag raced and ran circle/dirt track cars all with inline 6 engines and was clearing house. The amount old speed parts hanging on his walls was crazy. I could have spent hours talking with him.

Nice Holley 425CFM to go with the Clifford intake. Now i just need to save up for a decent exhaust manifold so i can install it all.

Glad you are having some fun with the inline 6!
If you wanna see the build on my 292 check out my 66's build thread.
I built a 292 with block work, cam, head work and she runs perrty good! :chevy:

Re: Farm fresh 1964 C10

Thanks. I think i will only be keeping the inline 6 for a couple of years while i do work that's needed on the rest of the truck.

Its good enough to get some enjoyment out of the truck for the time being but I'm already over the 3 on the tree transmission so will likely be switching to an automatic in the near future and if I'm going that far i might as well throw a V8 in it as i miss the V8 exhaust sound.

Can't blame ya there haha I personally like the sound of a choppy inline 6 but for the money these days you sure can build a healthy v8 for the same if not less into it.

Front suspension, steering rebuild and disc brake installation begins!

Garage therapy is real. You walk in stressed, you walk out dirty and broke, but somehow you feel better.
