1964 C10 Fleetside Wheel Opinions
 

Good day folks.

I'm trying to find some 17" steel wheels for 1964 C10 Fleetside. Most i want to switch to radials and 17" are just easier to find locally. Its also a bonus that it will make things easier when i convert to front disc next year.

Since the truck is 100% original and i plan to keep it mostly that way I was hoping for something with more of a stock look but there aren't many used options locally and anything to do with figuring out wheel fitment makes my head spin.

So I've been looking at these 2 steel wheel options and figuring i would paint or powdercoat white. Keep in mind those are CDN prices shipped to my door.

Based on the specs in the second oic should either of these wheels work?
Thoughts?

Maybe you already have, but I would recommend you consider the tire size you want to run relative to your rear end gear ratio, transmission ratios, and engine power curve. Then ensure you are buying wheels with enough backspacing that these tires will fit in the available space - considering any lift or drop you intend or have made to the suspension.

The plan is to go with a 235/65R17 to keep it close to the stock tire height. 28-29"

What about the newer toyota FJ steelies? They are 17" and fit over the hub on the older trucks without needing bored out like the newer chevy wheels do. I don't know how many snow pesos it would be to buy them and get them shipped to you but they are on ebay all the time for $90-110 US that or hit JY. They are the spare wheels on 4runners and FJ's.

If your set on the aftermarket wheels I personally like the second set but they are not going to look very stock on there. I believe the toyota wheels can be modified with bolt on clips to hold the stock chevy caps but don't quote me on that one.

I was strongly considering these but they are aparently not as xommon locally and i don't really want to run spacers.
