Re: Door gaps Help
To start with are your hinges tight? When the door is nearly closed grab the back of the door at the bottom and lift. How much does the door raise up?

Re: Door gaps Help
I would guess you will need pins and Buschings. Start there.

Re: Door gaps Help
Well if the hinges are good and everything is tight, heck I don't know, but you might try placing the floor jack at the door's center, perhaps throw a 2x4 in between to spread the support, with rags to your heart's content. If it's a stable situation, seems you should loosen all 24 bolts, at least enough to get things where they want to go, then tighten in sequences.

Re: Door gaps Help
Have you inspected the door for cracks around the hinge mounting area?
Is it possible the latch is forcing the door down? Try marking then removing the B pillar latch piece then closet the door. |

Re: Door gaps Help
First off, without the glass and other weight bearing objects your never gonna win, so figure that weight and toss some weight in there. Second, I would remove the latch and adjust the door gap as desired. Once happy, modify the latch to hold the door, while in that position. Wild and crazy thought is are you fighting something that is just bad from the factory. Meaning, remove the hinges, place the door in the opening and latch it. Adjust the latch so you get the gap how you want when closed. Now install the hinges or try to and see how far they will need to be modified to work.
