Trac Bar Differential Stud

I am overhauling the trac bar on my 69 C10 and the tip of differential mounting stud and the nut were shorn off. I had to cut the tip of the stud off. Now I'm finding that the stud doesn't budge. I thought it was removable and replaceable. Is this thing just stuck or is it fused in place?

It is a tapered fit. Heat the boss up with a torch and it should pound out.
