another measurement question
1950 Chevrolet 3100. Inside to inside measure of the lower portion of the core support, just before is rounds out.
I didn't measure and intended to keep the core support intact. Turns out it is rusty as all get out. I had to cut it out and didn't brace first. I got in a hurry and got ahead of myself. Scott |
Re: another measurement question
I'm not sure exactly what measurement you are looking for but here goes.
The core support on my '49 is right at 20" inside at both the top of the support and at the bottom where the support starts to turn in. That makes both sides parallel. Hope this helps. |
Re: another measurement question
I've got a couple laying out trying to decide which one to clean up and use and can get measurements in the morning if I remember.

This is the inside to inside measurement and the outside measurement in the same spot. Just below the bottom hole for the bolts that hold the radiator to the support.

Re: another measurement question
The difference in measurements just goes to show the lack of quality control when our trucks were built

Re: another measurement question
Thanks. It will give me a starting spot.
I am hoping to get the cab mounted this weekend if I can get the time off. Pics to follow. Again, thanks for the help. Scott |
