not sure if you are talking about the O.G. dam that bolts to the front lip of the bumper? but I just bought one from LMC and bolt kit as well. I installed it this past weekend and it was straight forward & so far the quality seems to be fine. i am not sure how it compares to an GM part, but this piece seems to be comparable. I like the look of it as well. my truck is a 1986 C10 (not K10) - no tow hook slots. I am hoping to post the piece install to my build thread on here in a few days....
