upfitter switches
needing the items to get power to my X7 connector under dash and where to get them. 2016 Chevy 2500HD WT. I have the upfitter switches, wires (4) for the upfitter switches & X7 under dash connector. What I need is the stuff under the hood for power & connect to the X7 and of course directions for adding this stuff in plain easy wording. thanks

Re: upfitter switches
I was looking at this today for my 2016 GMC 1500. Have you seen the GM Bulletin below?

Re: upfitter switches
I haven't done any of this but from my understanding GM sells a harness to attach the upfitter switches to the rest of the truck. Then you hook up a 1/4" female plug to I20 pin (for reference) to get power for whatever you are trying to power.
From what I understand the X7 pin that you are referring to is the relay side for, meaning when you flip the upfitter switch, X7 is grounded and send power to the I20 pin on the interior of the vehicle on the drivers side floorboard. Again, I have not done this but this is how I understand that this system works. |
Re: upfitter switches

Service Connector: Kit P/N 19328970 Includes Connector body and Lock Lever These were the part numbers in that PDF that I attached |
Re: upfitter switches
I have that part what I need is a way to power it from under the hood in that fuse panel as I have no relays or fuses and see no wires going to the spots where they go
