2025 Yakima Elks car show 5-31-25

I took a ride up to the Yakima Elks country club for the annual Yakima Elks car show yesterday. This is a fun primarily participant open event that draws a wide variety of interesting rides.
Here are the GM trucks I saw at the show. There may be some interesting "others' added along the line too as the pickings were pretty slim and even slimmer for trucks I haven't shown on here before. The Green and silver AD is at just about every event that I hit in the valley. The little Jeep thingie was just flat cute and was with a restored low hood jeep done up military that may have been a real surplus military jeep as back in the 50's there were a lot of Surplus jeeps in this area as the first Jeep Club in the US was started in Yakima Wa as the Yakima Ridge Runners. The 72 is just one nice truck that was part of a display for ceramic finishes. The Gray 20's Dodge pickup belongs to a gent who was a Sr when I was a Sophomore in high school and his wife was a friend of my cousin at the School 7 miles away. They have had that truck for over 40 years and There are few vehicles that have been to more car shows than it has. |

The Cut down Deuce and a half just looks like a fun rig but too fancy to go seriously off road with.
The silver AD is one nice truck. |

A couple more of the silver one and a side shot of a little lowrider AD that gets a little better each time I see it.

The square Blazer is a regular at that show but I never seem to see it anywhere else. The 57 GMC looks to have done some bracket racing and the rear tires look up to the task.

My Friend Lee Olson showed up with his Chevy ragtop full custom that runs a nice 292 that is all decked out. More photos in my album. This is about the third time this car has been redone and maybe the fourth. He said he finally has it running the way he has wanted to and he drives that car daily in good weather. I figured that some will find the 292 interesting.
He didn't make any big changes on the redo and none appearance wise but the guys who redid the body work fixed a lot of work that was a bit sketchy before from what I have heard. Better Body work and less bondo. I've got a bunch more photos in the Smugmug album for the show. |

Nice blue TF and the T bucket belongs to a long time acquaintance who I thought had sold it years ago as I haven't seen the car for 25 years and it looks exactly the same as the last time I saw it.
The white Model A with the flathead belongs to the gent who gave me the cab for my 48 rebop. |

I said "smile" and they did:lol:
The TF had not one but two hair dryers on the LS in it. |

You have to figure that Nvrdone was lined up early to get one of the highly prized spots in the shade. Kicked back and relaxed in the shade.
This is the link to my smugmug album with all of my photos from the show in it. https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/20...r-show-5-31-25 I skipped a few that had people camped in front of them in their lawn chairs but didn't play favorites otherwise except AD and TF trucks tend to get more photos taken and if you only see one photo of one you have probably seen the truck in my photos a number of times before. |
