Vent Window Help Needed

If you have a 55 - 59 door apart to where you can take a picture of the pad inside the door the vent window rides on I sure would appreciate it. I sure wish I would've tried to repair my original doors or looked for some good replacement ones. These Dynacorn doors have fought me every inch of the way. Go to put the door glass in and the vent windows don't fit worth a darn. AARRGGHH

I have my (original) doors back from paint, but haven't started building them back yet. Are you referring to the entire vent post assembly? Not aware of a pad. Where exactly is this pad located? I know of the one that is at the bottom of the window track rail.

I'll let bowtied get the inside the door picture where the channel rails mount.
Here is my outside pictures. looks like yours does not have outside rubber but will let you judge what you're a looking at. This is right side.

Are the screws in that attach the rail? It appears the gap may be due to it not being drawn up (screws tightened).

Re: Vent Window Help Needed

The seals are brand new precision seals. After looking at countless pictures of trucks on the web and zooming in on the vent window the light bulb came on. When they built these doors the window channel is too wide. I drilled out the spot welds on that tab I mentioned and pictured above and squeezed it in and re-tack welded it. Problem solved. Sure glad I am putting all the doors and fenders and fitting them before I paint. These aftermarket doors and fenders don't fit worth a darn. Now to do the other door today.

Bowtied if you can still shoot a picture for me and measure the opening of the window channel. I squeezed it in to .9".

Thanks you guys

Is this where you need a pic? I measured about the same, maybe 1/32 less than an inch.
