sides to ribs epoxy
 

Anyone know what was used to secure the sides of panels truck to the interrior ribs. Was sides and roof secured to ribs from factory? Any reason they should not be ? Thinking about using two part epoxy made for automituve panels. zfigure if strong enough to hold exterrior panels together should keep interrior stuff to gather.

Only down side may be cause some wavieness to out side.

I remember a thread discussing this some time ago. I don't remember if it was in the section or in the projects section. Some time searching may reveal it. My cursory search didn't find it.

I believe the consensus was to use a product that is recommended for preventing hoods from tin canning or fluttering. See this thread.

I believe HO55 is correct. When I was in my last year of high school I worked with my parents friend that did van conversions. He/we used various adhesives on the vans securing the panels to the ribs in both the sides and the roof. It was for the very thing of oil canning. Just using the adhesive quieted down the inside of the van before we even used insulation and paneling. When I first got there we were using a construction adhesive but later moved onto a silicon adhesive. We found the construction adhesive would later get hard and crack whereas the silicone didn't.

Thanks guys still researching. While old thatr does not mean it needs to sound like it. That would mean louder stereo to drowned it out.I hatge loud music that whyy IO have 3 sets of speaker with two amps in it.LOL
