What is this under dash bracket for?

Finally out of paint purgatory, now the real work begins. As I'm starting to build back under my dash, I ran across a bracket that I can't recall what bolted to it or what it supported. Any certain ideas? Maybe a support for the back of the radio? TIA.

I believe it's the radio support bracket per the factory assembly manual.
