Re: 1971 GMC Video
Maybe I need a billboard to tell everybody my '68 Stepside is NOT FOR SALE.

Re: 1971 GMC Video
Why didn't they just advertise on the internet, or Facebook??

OMG! All those brand new trucks for sale!! (6:50)

Re: 1971 GMC Video
Man that video had way too much screen time with a dude and far too little screen time with the trucks.
Also, I find a lot of the older advertisements are centered around middle age and older folks. The guy at 4:18 looked like he could be a 25 year old hippie. I'm jealous that to "keep up with the joneses" in 1971 was to afford a $4k truck. Today I gotta bring home a $101k truck if I wanna impress the neighborhood. |
Re: 1971 GMC Video
Thanks for sharing video Bob. It's been a very long time since I've seen base model GMC's in excellent unaltered condition.

Re: 1971 GMC Video
I wonder what they would think if they could fast forward 54 years to this forum and see how these trucks still have such a rabid following. I bet it would be comforting to them. I know it would be to me.
