2006 1500 with 37k original miles

Looking at this . 2006 35k miles interior is gray cloth and spotless . Exterior has one little scratch at the bottom of the passenger door . Other than that is like new . Only downside is it’s a 4.3 asking price 14k . Not sure what’s its worth my plan would be to lower it and add some performance upgrades and just drive the wheels off it . Any opinions?

Stick or auto? Stick will hurt the value a bit.
The 4.3 hurts it a bit but could a 5.7 be more or less a bolt in?
IMO these trucks if they are rust free short boxes and the have nice interiors will fetch 10K-12K easily even with the 4.3 since its in NY not in AZ?
Offer them 10K and settle on 12K?
Good luck.

Nice truck. Wish I had kept mine. Mine was 4.8. Not much more powerful than the 4.3 V6 my other ones had, but way smoother.

Automatic . I’m at the Carlisle PA truck show truck was a local vehicle that I’m sure the seller is flipping . If it were a v8 I’m sure it would be much more money . This is the second low mileage truck I have come across the last few weeks . The other was an extended cab 1997 that had 68k miles that one sold for 13k after I walked away from it .I didn’t buy it because I really don’t care for the extended cab .

I passed on a '02 rcsb 4.3 v6 last October from a family friend who bought it new.116k org miles. I had just bought a jeep and didn't need it. I sent it the way of a good buddy and he drives the wheels off of it. Unless you are towing or need the room of a bigger truck or bed, it should serve you well.

Looks like a nice truck. I had one just like it a few years ago, and it was a good truck. Something like this is exactly what I’d like to find my son to drive when the time comes. That 4.3 would be all he needed.

It looks a lot like one my late brother had and sold about 5 years ago, nice truck.
I have a 99 with the 4.3 and a 5 speed, the 4.3 surprised me with it's power. Mine has 180K and doesn't burn a drop of oil.

I didn’t buy it . The truck still had a for sale sign on it Sunday when I left the fairgrounds. I do have his number if I decide to make an offer on it .
