Removing fron crossmember

Looks like cross member behind engine where bell housing on manual transmission mounts will have to go when switch to automatic and new headers. Headers may clear no problem and not shure about transmission. Will have to build transmission mount for tailshaft into insert to stiffen frame anyway.

Yes, that front mount will have to go and be replaced by a crossmember at the back of the automatic transmission.

Re: Removing fron crossmember

I did not think auto equipped trucks had it in first place. The frame stiffening brace I have designed, not all my design. Has a bolt in cross member in it, All kind of over kill for this deal, but never done underkill and not sure how to.LOL.
Kind of like new rear cross member with adjustable trailing arm and exhaust pass thru. Dang pictures of stuff always gets me in deeper than planned.
