Parking brake rod for 66

On the 66 C20 I'm working on there is a rod that holds parking brake sling to frame on passenger side. One end goes through sling that holds cable other end has a 90 degree bend and is drilled for a pin. It was hanging down when I got truck. Anybody have a picture where it attaches?
thanks

Can you take a pic and post it. It would help us understand more about what you are woking with and how to help you.

I went out and crawled under mine but it's so completely torn down there is nothing like what you describe. I may possibly have a pic from when I was taking stuff off but doesn't sound familiar. How far forward or back it this, relative to the door, or the differential? Is it on the inboard or the outboard of the frame rail?

Sorry took a while but here's pictures. Its the end that is against inside of frame. I believe this is 66 only thing

No luck, either that was gone when I started the project or it was so far gone I tossed it without seeing where it connected. None of my pics show anything like it but hang in there, somebody will have the answer for you.

Must say, I love all that nice shiny black metal - looks like you're doing it right!

I've worked on my 66 and many other year models as well and have never seen that rod on C10s or C20s. Might just need to order missing parts for a 66 parking brake system. Looks more like a carburator linkeage rod.

Not sure if it helps but my 66 has that rod but, on the end that goes into the chassis it is mushroomed over with a washer that holds it in place against the chassis rail.

I am fitting a new parking brake cable this weekend so will take a few pictures if that would help?

Would a piece of similar sized all-thread work? Maybe with a sleeve where you do not need threading? Heat and bend as needed...

I can see the rod like mine but unfortunately its not attached. I think I'm missing a bracket that attaches to frame that the rod connects to

Revisting this. Here is picture of rod and where it goes into frame and its exactly like mine (believe this is 66 unique) but still don't see what is used to hold rod to frame?
