63-66 LS swap guys - best mounts?
 

I have a 1965 C10 that came with a 230 inline 6 and powerglide. I’ve removed both of those and have a 5.3L and 4L60E to go in. I’ve seen the Holley and CPP kits, but that’s some serious dough just to mount this thing.

I basically have three questions:

1. Can the stock frame mounts and crossmember be used to mount the engine/trans and have a good working U-joint angle?

2. If this is possible, are stock inline 6 frame mounts different than the stock V8 frame mounts?

3. What additional mounts/adapters would be needed?

I've got some CPP frame mounts with the SBC motor mounts left over from my build I'd let go cheap, if you're interested. You'd just need to get LS to SBC adapters to complete mounting a 5.3.

I used stock C10 SBC frame mounts with Dirty Dingo slider mounts on the engine side for my build.

I cut my crossmember and used C5 Corvette mounts.
