From the seam below the top of the panel to the bottom. What is the length? All of the bed panel is in good shape except across the bottom. Not sure what the exact length is, any suggestions?

It’s a 1950 3100 front bed panel. It is in good shape but the bottom rusted out where someone put angle iron for the bed floor. I’m going to to the bottom but don’t know how much,

Maybe you could go by the length of the side panels?

On my '49 from the seam to the bottom of the panel is 11.5".
Then below that is where the channel that the bed mounts fit to.
I think if you went all the way to the bottom of the bed side, that would make the front of the bed sit up at an angle.
Have you looked for an after market one? might be faster and easier.

Just did a quick google search. That panel is available from many vendors from $80.00 to $375.00.

The lip on the front panel is the thickness of the wood below the angle side rails on the bedsides. That should end up being 5/8 of an inch from the bottom of the angle to the lip.

You probably want to measure from the center of matching bolt holes on the bedside and the panel to figure out where that lip goes. Then it will take having a 50 inch strip of correct thickness sheet metal bent in a brake and fit the two
