barn door latch spring snapped
Hi, I discovered that my drivers-side barn door latch spring snapped, so the door won't stay shut. Does anyone have experience with this? How might I go about fixing or replacing it?
Thanks and regards, Nick |

I would think a guy could make a spring for the latch without too much trouble. There is a pin or rivet that can be removed to get the spring out. The spring looks like it is about 1/16" in diameter so if a piece of 1/16" music wire (available at hobby shops) was used you should be able to make one to match the original. Any broken pieces should be laying in the bottom of the door. . |
