wiper noise
 

I think this is a fairly common issue. Is there anything that can be done about the "tic/tok" noise that the windshield wipers make? Is it the motor or the arm mechanisms?

PS> Mine is really loud. Super annoying on a rainy day. Much louder than I recall my dads was back in the 70's.

I put RainX on all my windshields and rarely every use wipers.

It's likely a combination of both the motor and the wiper arm transmission. Mine were unbearably loud and slow. I got a spare motor to tear apart and rebuild. In addition I removed and lubed the transmission and now it's whisper quiet and easily twice as faster. Make sure the rubber bushing at the firewall isn't hard and the motor shaft is smooth and lubricated

I couldn't believe what a difference it made and should have done it years earlier! :mm: It was well worth the time.
