Hydrovac

Where can I buy a hydrovac unit for a 1975 gmc6000?
If this information is already here somewhere please don't waste your time yelling at me
Just tell me how to find it. I am a good mechanic.
Not great with computers

I know the hydrovac units are expensive and hard to get hold of, I'm dealing with one on a 73 C60 currently.

It's not exactly what you're asking for, but perhaps check out "Battle Born Brakes" and look at what he offers, it's a conversion kit to modern style firewall boosted brakes with a dual circuit master cylinder that's supposed to offer much better braking ability. He also offers hydroboost as an option if you have power steering on your rig. I'd post a link, but I'm not sure if that's allowed.

This is NOT an endorsement of that company, I have no experience dealing with them or their products, but it does open up an interesting avenue to all of us needing to keep these aging trucks stopping safely. I am considering going that route myself.

Auto parts store web sites show it so you might start there. Whether it's actually available is another question.

Sometimes you can get them rebuilt. Look for a 'real' truck parts place, not a chain store. NAPA's in rural areas can be pretty good.
