Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I’m looking at Aluminum Radiators with Shroud and Fans for my LS. Came across Cold Case. Anybody have any input on these Or Recommendations
Thanks |
Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I have one, that replaced my 4-row brass radiator. Dropped right into the stock mounts and fits fine. It's been in there for many years, and I have no complaint.

Look on YouTube.
Lots of complains with Cold Case Radiators. Then read the replies in the comments section for the videos. Some people are on their second or third radiator. |
Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I had 2 of them in my truck. When the 2nd one went bad, I got it warrantied and sold it brand new in the box.
All of them leaked where the header is attached to the tank. The one I put in to replace the CC was about double the price, but have had zero issues. My brother had the same issue. He just keeps warrantying his though. |
Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I bought and installed one, but I was dissatisfied with how it fit and returned it. I posted the issue in my repair thread in link below. Scroll to post 333.

I used a Afco generic LS swap radiator on my 68 C10. Biggest I could fit. Worked very well. Some fab to make it fit but not horrible.
Ran super cool. Right on the thermostat. |

Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I have since sold the truck to fund a new project.
But my go to for LS hoses is Oreilly's back room hose rack. I make a wire pattern to help select. Typically I have to trim whatever I select to fit. |
Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I don't have one in my truck, but I have Cold Case radiators in both my GTOs (04 and 06) and have been very pleased with both. Fit was drop in easy and they really do a great job keeping things cool. Both run right around 200 degrees at all times. 06 is blown and the 04 has aftermarket heads and cam.
In the truck I have a large Champion all aluminum radiator which was also drop in easy. It looks very similar to the CC radiators and was the final piece of the puzzle to keep my 400 SB cool, especially when towing. It works a whole lot better than the large 4-core brass radiator I had before. |

Summit sells them also. They may have a standard that will work with an original engine or an LS. https://powercoolmfg.com/street-and-...nce-radiators/ |

Re: Anybody using Cold Case Raditor
I went and checked my records. My Cold Case radiator has been in my truck 7 years, as of last September.
