Cool Chevy six

Just found this photo from the Deep Ellum car show in Dallas last year. The truck is a 60-66, right?

I really like the engine. What do you think it is? I don't know too much about Chevy sixes, although I had a 235 when I was in high school, and a 250 in an 82 C10 until I yanked it.

I'd guess the carb is 390 CFM, but the 4160 style single-inlet carbs all looked pretty much the same.

Clifford intake, and split exhaust manifolds. Maybe Fenton?

That actually looks like a 235 or even a 261 with the old school valve cover and round intake and exhaust ports. Really common to use a 390 holley with the intake and headers as well. I ran a 600 cfm eddy on my stock 292 with a clifford intake and headers. Ol 6 didn't run to bad. Truck would be a 60-62 I believe if it had the 235. I think in 63 they started using the 250 and 292 engines.

They even have AC on it. Radiator looks like 60-62 too.

the way the carb is sitting makes me think its an offy, the motor looks like a 194 to 292 only because its missing center bolts.I dig my inliner 230 , clifford ,holley 390 , 12 bolt headers and hei with a recurve
