rear window gasket that accommodates ss trim?

Do ya'll know if anyone sells a rear window gasket that accommodates a piece of Stainless steel trim for our cabs?

I have not been able to find one!

Thanks in advance

I have never seen stainless trim for a rear window.

I believe all of the seals are the same. You can use a chrome locking strip or black, same for curved windows.

Here's an example of the seal with chrome locking bead

Interesting, I never knew that existed.

I wonder if you could use a windshield gasket and cut to fit?

Or some companies just sell different profiles by the foot, like this

This Alabama truck that I think was at the Smokey mountain Nationals last year had a chome.stainless strip around the windeow. To me it looks wider than the bead lock.

Yes, they are available. The rubber has a slit in the middle and the included chrome locking strip fits in. It's not stainless but its flexible chromed plastic. I got mine from one of the usual aftermarket places. Had to cut to fit. It looks like Classic Industries has them. I'm not sure if this is the one I used, but here's a link:

Here's a pic of the installed product on my truck.

That sure looks like the same size strip as the green truck I showed has. I had that photo saved because of the 49 Plymouth rear bumper and the taillights.

the chromed vinyl covered rubber strip was what I was referring to in the earlier post about the square body truck windshield rubber.

Now you have me wanting to drag my buddy away from his girlfriend long enough with the promiss of a bottle of single malt for him and a bottle My nephue's wine for his gal to get him to weld the stainless. for the doors and windshield trim.

So Chopped 53, If you are saying that it is available but with a chrome strip.

I say if it doesn't hold my Stainless Steel strips it is not available or what am I missing????

your not helping yourself with comments like that to someone that tried to help

Post a picture of what you have, it might help distinguish what you want from the commonly available chrome lock strip.

At this point we do need photos of what you are working with so we can actually know what you are dealing with and if it is a production item or something that someone modifed to use there. I've got stainless windshield trim out in the shed and it would be a challenge to modify it to used on a chopped windshield let alone modify it to use on a rear window.

That makes me wonder if any 60's or 70's truck had a chrome trim strip around the back window.

Well after checking all my Stainless steel trim pieces I have come to the conclusion that
I DO NOT have factory SS trim around my rear window!

I owe chopped53 a big I"M Sorry buddy!!!!

What I have in my stainless trim pieces is two different truck windshield trim sets.
One for a pre 54 (cause I am not sure if 47-53 are all the same) and one set for my 55.1GMC

And a partial set from my 60 El Camino that got t-boned!
