Running boards

1 want to install some newer running boards on my squarebody. I see a lot of 2000s style GMC / Chevrolet boards on market place. Has anyone done this? If so please share pictures

Good luck. I've been looking for the same for my Suburban as mine are rusting out after 30 years. Personally I may have to make my own and mount them differently. Spring time project. If you find a source, post it up

So funny thing. I was taking a customers car to the alignment shop just before Thanksgiving after your post and saw a Transit van with running boards on it. Looking closer they were pretty beefy and I got the manufacturer. Uplift Supply. Going through their website they've got a lot of nice products. Anyways I found this:

https://upfitsupply.com/products/luverne-415088-401443

I bought these without any mounting brackets, because they don't have a kit for the square body, but these fit perfect for length. I do however have to make my own mounting brackets. Yeah I didn't have anything else to do.

I will, but it may take awhile. Don't have a garage the suburban will fit into so I have to do it outside. Winter is a challenge for this

Thanks for the pictures, now I have a few questions
1. On picture no# 2 the black brackets I see one being behind the body mounts, is that part of the brackets you made foe the running boards?
2. Did you just eyeball the measurement? If not do you mind sharing the dimensions?

Re: Running boards

The very front mount was initially up inside the body mount but the cushion was in the way of getting it to fit correctly, so I moved it behind and just had to do a notch for the parking brake cable as I had to do in bracket 2 and 3. The bent 90 degree plates I had sitting on the shelf already. That is a Trail Gear part number 10008-1 kit. 1.5'' angle iron .125 was used from the frame to the step in 3 pieces and then welded. First fit, it was kind of springy so I added the second brace from the top as 3/16'' thick flat 1'' wide. I have more pics I will post up
