Re: Stand Alone Wired Backup Camera With At Least A 7" Monitor
I'd be on Amazon looking to see what the offerings were and reading the specs and feedback on particular units and then search the brand and part number to see if I could find it for less locally. At least with Amazon prime they usually add a healthy chunk for shipping with their "free shipping" .
You have to hunt for the ones with wire running to the camera at the back rather than being Wireless from camera to monitor. Here is an inexpensive one that people seem to like if they get everything in the box. https://www.amazon.com/eRapta-AY7-Mo...o1FqPkI1u&th=1 This one might be more interesting though . https://www.amazon.com/WOOCARTY-Wate...hlbWF0aWM&th=1 |

This might interest you...see final post...not really dedicated or 7" though :( https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...7179&page=2#38 Aside from something a member may have installed, I'm thinking you could build your own with monitors and cameras available Online for things like RVs and agriculture equipment. NOt sure if this meets your criteria but there are several options that replace your rear view mirror and provide a wide angle backup camera view, but also have other features such as Android Auto, recording front/rear view etc.
Here's one example I saw: https://www.amazon.com/Carplay-Andro...dp/B0DNDYZQLH/ |

I don't have experience with the specific equipment you are seeking, but I can fully recommend the brand AUTO-VOX wholeheartedly. Good products and outstanding customer service.

Ok, I got one off Amazon, one of those foreign country ones. 7" screen, front and back cameras, wired. I'll start the install soon...

Really after using this backup camera for a while it's not that bad. I did have an issue with some mounting screws and the Seller was Very easy to deal with. There was a lot of leftover length of camera wire that I had to bundle up and store under dash and the parking grid on the monitor takes some getting use to. I do like the 7 inch screen for the price.
Oh, and I have to mention. The hole where the radio goes on my truck was all Hacked up when I got the truck. An aftermarket blockout plate would not have fit there, but there is a guy on ebay that sells larger plastic self stickies to cover the hole. Here's some pix: I paid ~$78 (price went up) BC.jpg I'll post pix of camera on truck in a while... |

Thanks for posting that. I could use the longer wire for my '67 Panel Truck. . |

Something like this works great if you have a single DIN dash cut-out. I keep hoping the market will come up with something for a 3-hole dash.

OK, it looks like that would work. I think I would want the front one on the dash or behind the mirror to get a view from higher up, to the front. Not sure.... Thanks. |

Nice work. Those have infra-red/night vision too eh? I can see where that would be very useful. Even w/glare...seems good to me. BTW, I think the lower front perspective is great. It's what I prefer when playing a driving game....haha fwiw. -Kevin |
