Re: level garage floor????

Depending on the situation of your floor and what caused it,
Will determine which approach you should take.

Also if you want to do this yourself is a big factor.

Which is what I hope to do.

I have one floor I need to fix a I have been looking into different solutions.

Again depending on the situation in no particular order.

Option #1

Option #2

Self leveling is most of the time not a Good solution.

Do it Yourself

Option #3

Raise the concrete from below before patching.

Do it yourself option.

Self leveling Epoxy.

My opinion, having a similar situation, is that any repair that doesn't replace the original concrete is going to be temporary. Your mileage may vary.

I'd be concerned with why the problem exists or what's going on under the existing concrete.

I am working on my garage space right now, and the first thing I had to do was fix the cracked and unlevel floor. The space is 22"x18", I have been here for ten years and the floor has not moved in that time. I had five and a half inches of cement poured over the old floor, I had to reframe the two garage and one man door. It was poured in July so time will tell of it will work out. The guys who did the work said they do this quite a bit. I just said it had to out last me.[IMG][/IMG]

Did a job in an old foundry about twenty years ago.
Floor was cracked and heaved all over.
We started with a rented floor grinder with diamond head. To knock down high spots.
We used a product from Sikka, which we bought at a local contractor supply.
It's a dry powder and I highly recommend using the latex additive when mixing.
Used a stiffer mix first for heavy fills and went back with a creamier mix for finishing and feathering.
It's still good to this day.
