Aftermarkey Fenders,

I know this has been asked and I searched but a lot of the posts are 10 years old or more,
Who has bought aftermarket fenders in the last few years that fit well?
What brand, 76 is what I am working on.

Thanks

Your chance of success with aftermarket sheet metal is slim to poor, If you can find a junkyard/craiglist donor you will come out ahead.

chris989 is correct, they all stink compared to GM sheetmetal but out of all of the "bad ones", AMD seems to be the least bad. ;)

Re: Aftermarkey Fenders,

FWIW,

I scored a set from a junkyard and they same body, different year. Used as a test for me fender modifications then sold.

Although they were only one year off, none of the mounting bungs where the same inside. Anything that hung off the inner fender was slightly different. (things the window washer tank). If you buy aftermarket, my guess is none of that stuff will be right.

It's actually shocking how bad they are.
I really don't understand how they can be "so close", looking right, but not fitting right.

AMD will be least troublesome.
