66 chevy mirror heads

On a 66 stepside the mirror arms are painted, would rectangular mirror heads be painted or bright? If painted, body color or white?

Ive only ever seen body color on oem. 60-66 FAQ section may give you better info.

On a Chevy, the mirror arms are body color . The mirror heads are round with an offset stem. Optional or accessory mirror heads are rectangular and for 1962-1966 are white. GMC is altogether different
