seat belt question

I'm working on a 1978 GMC and am wanting to know if there's any difference between bucket seat and bench seat retractors? How about the lap belt length?

The retractors should be the same, lap belt length should be also but it may have a different plastic sleeve to hold it up on the inside unlike on a bench where it just lays flat.

Retractors are the same. There is a slight difference in the buckle side length, by an inch if I remember correctly. I compared the lengths once. But the buckle side for the bench seat could be used in most cases. It really comes down to what style of bucket seat you’re using.
