Interesting.... I like that the swap had no/minimal external visual impact. I'll have to check the web & see if there's a build series/diary for it.

What's not debatable is the costs involved building/swapping & maintaining the vehicle + the learning curve to safely get it done. I'd bet they negate a significant portion of the interest. C-notching, slamming, lifting, chopping, stretching, body mods, & late model drivetrain swaps are far less costly in the big scheme of things as they are mods that have been done successfully for decades resulting in the 'how to/DIY' learning curve being easily accessed & hot-rodder pocket friendly. That AEM C10 is a 100k truck most likely. Can one be built cheaper? Sure. But quality components, integration ability, & EV propulsion Safety are not yet common knowledge for the average DIY/budget minded builder. |
