81-87 Tach Filter Photo
 

81-87 tach filter location that is screwed to firewall in engine compartment photo needed. Photo of the tach filter to be provided soon, along with more photos of tach harness.
It uses a black wire to connect filter. A white wire goes through fire wall, the white wire connect to a black wire in the engine compartment.
The assembly manuals do not show filter attachment location from what I can find.

Photos of tach filter:
1) filter on carb;
2). Better photo filter black wire (just see connector/white wire,far right); and
3). Filter and wire harness-white wire (dirty-on right), connector to black wire.

The tach filter screws to firewall.

More photos of tach wire harness (not show whole harness). Connected to HEI, for testing tach in gauge cluster. It works good. Will post better photo of whole harness, soon as removed HEI. Better photos to come, know they are a mess, hard to see. Last photo close up of one part of harness..

Tach wire firewall grommet photos. This is the white wire that goes through firewall to HEI distributor.
