Preparing for painting my '56 pickup and wondering what the paint codes are for the interior cab colors, Charcoal and Marble Grey. Anyone have paint codes for these colors?

not finding these specific colors at that link- I've looked at those color samples before too.
Only charcoal is a charcoal iridescent used on Pontiacs and no Marble Grey listed on any. The granite gray on the truck sample sheet might be close but looks darker than what was original |

The GM heritage center archives only show exterior colors and exterior trim colors and nothing on the interior .
Jim Carter shows a gray and a black matt finish for 55/56/57 interior and dash top. https://oldchevytrucks.com/1955-1959/paint.html?p=3 I always thought that the Deluxe packages had interior paint that went along with the exterior paint but am not finding anything on it. |

I am with Mr48 on this one. Interior codes are hard to find and I have been looking for a while. Was on call today and just waiting on phone to ring i was a searching.
Since it says Charcoal (close to black) and Marble Grey on your image. I would go with Jim Carter and what they offer. They clearly did the research and have formulated for restorations. Since they specialize in that stuff. Their quote "This light gray oil base enamel is correct for most all 1955-1957 Chevrolet cabs interior. Also used on door interior, dash, and seat frame. 2 quarts normally required for one cab. Sold in QUART. Made in USA Jim Carter Trivia: To be absolutely correct, GM uses a semi flat black textured paint on top of dash to prevent glaze from the sun. Our part number is PT146." |

Yeah, I checked them out, might reach out to see if I can get a sample just to see how close it is to my old cab. Always hard to judge if what they call 'Light Gray' matches up to what GM calls 'Marble Grey' without a side by side sample. It would be nice to see an actual paint chip/sample of GM's colors. I am curious about the textured paint, maybe mine is textured but I just figured it was that way after 70 years. |
Re: 1956 Interior cab paint codes
Yea the textured is just to keep the glare down off the flat part of the dash board. Get in some of these custom paint jobs with high gloss and roll down the road. you need two sun visors one on top one on bottom. :)
after years lets just say pantina and sun bake creates its own texture |
