Power seat issue

2 Attachment(s)
I took the power seats out of my Envoy that I’m scrapping. Took the drivers seat out of the car and when I went to remove the passenger seat none of the controls worked so I cut the harness and powered up the orange wire and grounded the black, seat worked so I could move the seat forward and back to get the bolts out . I then tried to do the same on the drivers seat out of the car and. I get nothing no movement or even a click passenger seat out of the car works fine hot wired.

The drivers seat has a memory function that corresponds to which key fob is in the car passenger side does not . The connector on the drivers side is much different than the passengers and has many more wires . Also the drivers side has what looks like a control module on it ,passenger side has no black box under it . I am guessing that since I disconnected the drivers side the passenger side didn’t work because the drivers side controls the power to it .

My problem is the seats are no good to me if I can’t get the drivers side to work
Any ideas would be appreciated. Pictures of the connections top is drivers side

Re: Power seat issue

I found that there is a control module tied into the windows I really don’t know what electrical engineers think when they do stuff like this . So I’m going to abandon the project .
