I still have more things to buy so it will be a bit, but the big purchase is done. These are Procar Touring seats.

It was a little surprising to me that the seat bracket I got from Speedway was just bare metal so I primed and painted the parts today and will assemble it tomorrow. I also installed the sliders onto the seats.

Pics soon of everything put together and ready to go into the truck. Still haven't decided on a console. There will be about 15 inches between the seats and thus far no console I've found is large enough to fill that much space. May have to fabricate my own.

Following. I’m closing in on the Seat stage and had picked Sparco GT seats until reading many reviews about the cheap build quality and how fast they fall apart.

Nice seats!
I put a subwoofer enclosure between mine and I even added a cup holder on it so it qualifies as a console sort of. :)

They look great, hope they fit well too.

Well crap. Got the freshly painted mount put together and tried to bolt the seats to the frame and found that the mount and the seat sliders don't have the same dimensions. Which is frustrating since the mount is specifically made for Procar seats and these are Procar seats and Procar uses the same sliders on all their seats. I also don't like how the fore/aft adjuster handle is inboard on the passenger seat.

Nice looking seats.
It looks like it should straddle the mounting frame, putting the seat sliders both mounting points, outside the mounting frame if possible.

Nope, they are installed per instructions. They are not long enough to straddle the frame outside to outside.

This is the seat mount, specifically made for C10 trucks: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/1967-...el,457188.html

This is the mount and seat kit they sell (using Procar seats): https://www.speedwaymotors.com/1967-...ts,513044.html

And here is the instruction sheet page which pertains to mounting the seats. That all said, I think there IS a difference in the sliders on my Procar seats vs. the typical Procar seats which is what is causing this problem.

So because I'm cheap I found a set 2015 VW GTI for $350 at a somewhat local salvage yard. They were perfect wear wise. Lumbar/recline/height adjustment.
They were dark grey with plaid seating area fabric.
I didn't like the gray so using fabric spray bomb I turned them black.
Before and after pics.

The gap at the front is small enough that I just put a couple extra thick washers under each bolt and got bolts that are 1/2" longer. Bolted down fine that way.

Re: New seats for the 69

So far the new carpets (floor and gas tank cover), door sill plates, kickpanel speakers and sound deadener kit have all arrived. Still waiting on the new 3-point seat belts. I'll order the door panels, console and billet door handles later. I will probably also order Lokar pedals and throttle cable at some point.

For now I'm planning to install the seats and speakers, the rest I'll just hold onto until after I get it painted. Not sure if I'll stick with a painted dash or if I'll perhaps wrap the dash, or upholster it or whatnot. The truck still has a very nice dashpad, but it is now the wrong color given where I'm going with the interior.

On the fence about painting the kickpanel speaker housings. While I will have black carpet, the accent color in the interior will be maroon (same as the exterior and interior metal). One way or another they are getting painted even if it is satin black, the gloss black of the raw plastic is not attractive.

Painted the kick panels SEM Landau Black. They look soooo much better than the gloss black as they come from Custom Auto Sounds.

Seat belts arrived today too.

Sorry to sidetrack this thread but you're telling me they make a spray bomb for cloth?
I've painted vinyl seats with spray paint and the results looked good and didn't stick to my cloths but I never knew they made something like that for cloth.

Would love to do that to my junkyard seats and maybe my sub enclosure too.

What'd ya use?

ETA: I always thought about wrapping those seats in black leather but that would cost a fortune for someone to do that.
Just do the outer perimeter in black and leave the center portion alone in whatever that stuff is called...velvet?

ETA-II Looks like I could have used typical vinyl type paint the whole time, never knew it. :)
