C4 front suspension upgrade

Hi, wondering if anyone has used the c4 front suspension on a 67-72 c10? I know there are kits, I got a quote from Scott’s for 7k and then another kit is around 2k. Wondering if anyone had done this without a kit?

My friend did on a 65 C20. You can weld the cross member to the frame then fabricate the upper mounts. Just have the measurements from the frame so you can replicate it.

He then added coil overs from a kit. It was quite the ride when done

I figured someone’s tried it. I have the complete front suspension and would like to use the rack with it. Hoping someone might have some
Pics.

I tried a "kit" some years ago. It was a disaster. Measurements were wrong and if you are using any engine besides a SBC, the "kit" didn't work, although the lying owner of the place I got it said otherwise.

Here is the post. Be sure to avoid this boondoggle. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=826209
