Phoenix area truck parts supplier

Has anyone heard of a guy named Mark Johnson Jr from the Phoenix AZ area? Looking to buy some doors from him thru FB and I don’t want to lose my hard earned cash. Can anyone vouch for him?

i don't know the guy you mentioned, but if you prefer face-to-face interaction with a vendor in the phoenix metroplex, I highly recommend member t korinek in Mesa. Tom is great deal with, I bought several things from him in person when I lived in Mesa. Last time I was there, which was some time ago, he had doors galore.

Woops, sorry, just noticed you’re in Indiana like me! Still might be worth checking with Tom if he ships to IN.

One thing one always has to do when buying anything that isn't within a short drive to go get is to check the sellers profile page and their activity This Mark Johnson Jr seems legit as several people gave him good feedback https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61587736624218 I've checked some profile and other post pages and the individuals are real freak shows. I've checked others that never sold anything before but their posts on fb show that they are legit and not a screwball.

Totally Second Tom.

I drive almost 400 miles to see him. He ships most things, and very honest to what he sells.

Have dealt with Tom at Swap Meets here in San Diego in years past. And his uncle before him. A real stand up guy! Can’t go wrong with him.

I checked him out on FB also and he seems legit, and his prices are really good.
He has a lot of nice parts. He wanted me to pay from a PayPal link that would not work for me, and I got a fraud alert on my credit card, and he doesn’t want to give me his PayPal address so I am a little leery. He wanted me to do the F/F option and I said no thanks I’ll pay the fees, which he was good with. He says no one else has had trouble with the PP link. Now he wants me to use Venmo, which I’m ok with as long as I can get purchase protection.

I passed on the deal. He wanted me to use the Friends and Family option on Venmo too. I told him if I can’t get buyer protection we will just forget it. So in my experience, beware of Mark Johnson Jr in Arizona.

Another option is to only pay with a United States postal office money order and send it in an envelope purchased at the post office with the stamp already on it. And send it certified mail.

My gut was telling me something just wasn't right. He had only been on FB since mid-February, and had hundreds of good to excellent quality parts listed, no junk. He would only accept payments that were "friends and family". That just smelled like a rat to me. When I asked for additional pics of the doors he said "they are rust free, trust me". No thanks. Here is something I have since discovered. The exact pics of the doors this guy has were advertised by another FB user, and they could not come up with additional pics either. To me that says they did not have the doors. Smelled like a scam to me.
