63 Turn Signal Switch
Boy did I screw up today.
63 C10 Custom Cab. The cancelling cam broke, so we bought a new one. Everything went fine, until I tried to separate the old cancelling cam from the turn signal switch. Looking at the new cancelling cam, it has a tapered pivot post, that fits into the turn signal switch. I figured I could just pry the cancelling cam off the turn signal switch at the tapered pivot post. Nope. Broke the turn signal switch. Dumb! All original stuff too. After doing an internet search, it looks like the whole turn signal switch/cancelling cam assembly has to be removed from the column first, before you can separate the turn signal switch from the cancelling cam. Am I correct on this? Thanks!!! |
Re: 63 Turn Signal Switch
Yes you are correct. There is a screw that goes in from the back.
