Glove Box Light Possible in AC Truck?

I recently purchased a glove box light kit. When I went to install it last night, the light assembly is too deep. It would end up on the dash side of the glove box liner, except that it also interferes with an AC vent. It would work find on a non-AC truck.

Did AC-equipped trucks not get glove box lights? Or did AC-equipped trucks get a special glove box light?

Thanks in advance,

Wes

Hey Wes, I have OEM A/C with a glove box light. My truck did not come with one originally I think. I bought one and put it in myself. Works great.

I welded another light mount from a donor dash in the upper right corner of my glovebox when I needed more light.
Now the original lamp shines on the fuse panel, and the new lamp lights up the glove box.
You could adapt a newer car under-dash lamp and rig it to the dome light or an unbulbed glovebox light.
