mine had 3.73 stock. there should be a metal tag on one of the bolts. youll have to dig through the gunk to find it but it will say. o r pop the diff and divide the last 2 numbers on the ring should be 41 11 or 41 10 something like that.

I think the 4wd's came with either 308's or 373's depending on options ordered. 'Course, if there's one thing I do know, it's that I don't know everything about anything  (this board's definately got me closer!) Any FOKer (fountain of knowledge :D ) care to back up what I think I know??

Standard ratio was 3.73. If you ordered the 350 engine, it came with 3.07 gears.

IS THAT FRONT AND REAR ? , ARE THEY BOTH THE SAME ?

Gears in a 4wd have to be the same front and rear or you will have drivetrain bind in a big way. Unless of course you're running different size tires to compensate.

Blazer1970, 373's were still an option with the 350 weren't they? I know my 72 CST had both listed on the glovebox sticker but my Jimmy just has 350 V8 listed. So that would mean it has the 307's I assume...bummer

Yes, 3.73s were available optional with the 350 engine. If a truck was equipped with the 350 and any other than the 3.07 gears, it would be listed on the glovebox sticker.
