Did they make....
....an I6 4x4 Blazer? Was thinking about it and didn't know for sure. If they did, i'd sure like to get my hands on one around Texas.

They sure did. The 250 cid six was the standard engine. 307 and 350 v8 engines were the upgrades.

DOH!!!
No help for your search, but just had to tell someone what a jack*ss I was a while back. Found a 70 Blazer in the local tradin post about 5 yrs ago for only $850. Went to look at it and was disappointed to find out it was 2wd and a straight 6. If only I'd known how rare a bird I was in the presence of I'd still have it today. What a dumb*ss!!!!!!!!!   :banghead:

My 72 2wd is a 250

according to ColoradoK5's website, some years of first gen blazers had the 292, but everything else i have heard seems to be a contradiction to that. you could get the 250 with 4wd for sure, and they are rare, but i have never seen or heard of one with a 292.
if the 292 wasn't an option, then I wonder why was it not available in K/5's? kinda like the "why no BB in 4x4?" question, I guess sometimes GM just has to throw us a curve to mix things up a bit. |
