I was wandering how hard it would be to design a dash/consule to make it look similar to this off a 30's ford

I want to do something similar .. I will make it out of MDF (medium density fiberboard) Its very smooth and supposed ot be easy to work with. I plan on covering it with fiberglass and painting it to match. I have a 94 Camaro shifter to put in. I have an aluminum plate to make a cover. Its too cold to work on it now but as soon as it warm up I want to start...
Here is a pic of one in a 67-72 truck. It's a little too squared off for me but close to what I was thinking.

you can make mistakes with the MDF and cover it up.....

i don't care for the one mcmlxix posted because its boxy like he said, its the concept I'm going to go for a consule that flows up and meets with dash and looks like one piece..

I work with MDf all the time, builing sub boxes, kick panels, amp racks etc... very easy to work with and shape, only one problem, that stuff is mucho dusty, the dust gets everywhere, but the stuff shapes really nicely. With a jigsaw, a router a table saw, a brad nialer and a belt sander, you can pretty much build any shape you could ever want
