'68 swb fleetside. Haven't had as much time to work on it as I hoped. However it is almost to the frame. Just thought I would post a couple pics to let everyone see MY project.

Hey , most of that stuff in your garage looks familiar:D Hows it going Brian? I see youve been busy getting parts.

03glide 02-08-2004 07:24 PM

I do most of my summer cruising on the bikes, but I hope to have it driveable(not finished) by then. The little ones help until they get bored.....about 5 minutes.

All6t7. Making progress. I have aquired enough parts to build 2 trucks. My hopes are to quickly( a couple of months) have a driver together, and then continue an involved rodstoration on the other.

You did label all the parts didn't you?

03glide 02-08-2004 11:18 PM

I labeled everything I'm keeping in ziplock white label bags. I learned that lesson about 12 years ago when I disassembled my first 1st gen Camaro. I still have bolts from that resto laying around my toolbox. LOL

Do you know if that is that the original block? Is it a 307 or 327? You have an orange upper alternator bracket like my 68 does. Most of the rest of them were black through the years.

03glide 02-09-2004 02:00 PM

I was told it is a 283. I know in 1st gen Camaros the 307 wasn't available until '69. I haven't looked at the numbers on the block to try and verify.

Blue Beard 02-09-2004 11:16 PM

Is that a 03 glide and a sportster?

I picked up the 03 Fatboy........cruised all summer on it.....didn't get much done to my truck, now moving so less being done but she's dry.
