She's a comin! Slow but sure the repairs are getting done. Feels a little more slow than sure though. I got the bed side swapped over and repaired. Marker light welded up. Had to make a die to reform parts of the wheel opening that had been dented. Welded up all the holes in the rail and from the rope cleats on the side. Sprayed a primer sealer on it. I now have a six color truck! I would like to get her in to a paint shop soon. Think I am going to do a color change and paint it Cherry Red with a white roof, grey bed liner. Also, I had a buddy of mine reupholster the seat for me, I got that in there too.
Any member in the PHX area in the body and paint trade? I would be interested in coming to see you, PM me.

Is the spotlight factory, if so keep it, it looks cool.

walker 02-09-2004 08:59 PM

Thanks for all the support. Hooter, the frame was bent pretty good, $300 to true it up and align the front end. The spotlight was a dealer option, it has the GM logo on it. I like it enough to keep it on there.
Yes progress feels good. Now if I could get my Scout to pass emissions, my tractor hydraulics working, the driveway to my garage built up, paint on the truck, fix the...

Blue Beard 02-09-2004 10:19 PM

Good looking progress to date........especially with what you started with.........

What time frame has it taken to get this far..........?

walker 02-09-2004 10:53 PM

She got hit in the begining of October. Sat for a month while I fought with the guys insurance co. Got the frame work done in december, started in on the body in January. You can see her in preaccident condition in my avatar.
