Man that looks pretty damn clean, thanks for the pics.

Those wheels look like hubcaps.

bigblock73 02-13-2004 02:56 PM

Nice truck indeed! I agree, the wheels look like hub-craps. :D

Prerunner1982 02-13-2004 02:57 PM

they look that way, but arent, not my first choice but still a clean truck. i will post a pic of what it use to look like.

bagged81 02-13-2004 03:45 PM

The drip rails just do not look right at all. He should have shaved 'em. None the less, looks good.

I am so tempted to build a 2wd, crewcab, shortbed 81-87.

Eyegore 02-13-2004 05:20 PM

Wow, this is funny, I just pulled up next to 84-87 extended when getting on the freeway this morning, it was done in a stock gold and tan exterior with a camel interior. I told my wife that would be fun to have and fix up and here you show what I pictured. Small world.

LOHRTBT 02-13-2004 05:56 PM

Wow that is nice! I like it! :)

84Stepper 02-13-2004 06:03 PM

i see that truck up there all the time it is really cool!

Blue Beard 02-13-2004 06:11 PM

Never seen one like that, but I like it.....

Wouldn't mind having it........

lets see the before pics.....

gldevall 02-13-2004 06:16 PM

Clean truck, but I don't like it.

Eyegore 02-13-2004 06:24 PM

Hey prerunner, do you have any pics of the inside, I'd like to see them.

Now for a really stupid question for those of you who have shaved your drip rails - whats the difference? I mean, when it rains do you notice water dripping in, our are they only there for when you get out, preventing rain from coming off the roof?

Like I would need to worry about rain here in phoenix.

Grim Reaper 02-14-2004 12:42 AM

Very clean!

Now excuse my ignorance. On my K5 and My Burb the fill door is much farther up. Is that the stock location of the fill door?

Free88 02-14-2004 01:06 AM

Nice truck. Would like to see pics of one of these being built. Must be a lot of work. :canada: :gmc:

1FaastC10 02-14-2004 02:11 AM

Grim, that is stock location for the fuel filler. the 99+ side moulding makes it look a little different.

79BIG10 02-14-2004 02:33 AM

reminds me of the one near me that's a crew cab ext. cab. That thing is freaking huge!!!

Prerunner1982 02-14-2004 01:22 PM

Tom, interior is clean, but stock. bench seat and everything. extended cab has no seats or anything, just extra space.

Palf70Step 02-14-2004 01:33 PM

Looks nice. few things I'd prefer different, but nice change. here is one that runs around my area.

I have seen a few of those around Houston. Who made them, they always look like they were made by the same company.

They were made by a couple of coach companies.. same type of companies that make limos. I dont remember thier names right off hand, though this topic has been discussed a couple of times.
