Done so far, 4 bolt 350 with numerous mods,2 1/2 pipes with aero chambers, used 700r4, rebuilt rear end with 3.73 gears, wheels and tires, completely rebuilt front suspension, -2 1/2" spindles, -2" coils, front and rear brakes, front and rear bell tech drop shocks, -5" flip kit, new OEM door hinges....

Many many upgrades still planned...the above list seems way to short for the amount of money I've spent :eek: :eek: :eek:

Looks like a good start! What else is on the to do list?

Wow. What size tire you runnin? thats a lot of sidewall for that much drop :D

Tire size.....well, the front are 235/75/15 because there are clearence issues. At the very least, the front wheels and tires are going to change. Those wheels just aren't going to work. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but something has to change. The rears are 275/60/15's. Yeah there is alot of sidewall, but I think they ride much better than the big wheel, no sidewall setups that are all the rage, I drive it everyday so comfort is a big consideration. It rides better than the last new truck I bought, (2000) so I don't figure I'll change that. I'm not into the big wheel toy truck looking wheels and tires. I leave the big wheels to the vehicles with fart cans, spoilers and neon lights. :D JMO....;)

What next? Well that's a good question. There are alot of little details that need to be done under the hood. I need to clean things up a bit. A little rewiring and rerouting needs doing.

I need to trace down a wiring problem that keeps blowing my heater fuse.

I guess I'm going to start gathering parts to do a swervin ervin instrument panel. Would also like to find a good used tilt colum to install at the same time.

Electric windows and locks, new glass all around and completely redo the interior.

Needs a new wiper motor, mines a little flaky. Fortunately it doesn't rain much here, so that's not a top priority.

I plan to cut that honking reciever hitch off. You can't see it in the pics but it is like 6" off the ground and I drag it on everything. Then replace the step bumper with a burb rear bumper and replace the slightly bent front bumper....... Once I start the body work, I'll ditch the handrails, bed rails, moulding and drip rails.

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I've got tons of stuff planned, just not the time to do it all right now. Little League starts in a couple of weeks, so I don't figure I'll have much time to work on it till probably....uummmm......September??....at least no big projects anyway....but I have a million little details that need to be done in the mean time to take up any spare moments I find.....I've got to dam many hobbies is the problem.....:D

Looks awesome! I was going to say unless you are short, remove the hand rails...but you beat me to it. :D

Big Red posted a lot of parts in the parts section that are out here (in D/FW) that would get you a lot closer to where you want to be that were really reasonable, like bumper and column. The truck looks really good. I do like the 83-84 Chevy 4 headlamp grille. The stance looks good, too.

Looking sharp as a tack. I like your plans. Especially the swervin ervin instrument panel idea. :D

I hope you get better service out of the Belltech drop shocks than I did. Mine lasted a little over a year. They are still laying in the shop. You can close them by hand real easy. Once closed, they stay closed. Unless they have changed something, they are junk.

Doestch Tech's are about the best drop shock on market at the moment.

Ya know, I originally planned to go with the Doestch shocks, but I found the Bell Tech's here in town at Scoggin Dickey for 34.95, so I went that way. Hopefully they've changed some, but if not I'll go with the Doestch like originally planned. I will say this, the shocks that were on the truck could very well have been factory, so right now it's like riding on glass in comparision. I had to pull over once and get out of the truck just to let my a$$ laugh.....:lol: I just haven't seen any instrument panels I like better.

Don't be fools with the sheetmetal. You can't tell in the picture, but, that bedside has more bondo than metal. Fortunately the rest isn't too bad...:)

THANK YOU! Seeing your truck, I will definately take my front end down 4½, instead of just 4". I have 28" tires as opposed to 29", so the extra half inch will not be a problem. Your trucks stance is KILLER!

Thanks, when I get a chance I'm going to get a better pic. From this angle, in my eyes anyway, it looks taller than it really is.... I was kneeling when I took the pic...
