Did the "Brighter Dash Light" Upgrade...WOW!!
Actually, I only did a partial job...the only part I painted chrome, was the back of the Guage Bezel, as well as repainting the guage openings back to their original brilliancy. I DID however use scratch-X on the clear plastic lense. Lemme tell ya, with all new #194 bulbs, it makes a BIG difference! I ALSO fixed my drivers side blinker indicator (Since I can remember it NEVER worked!!) by simply putting the circuit board back under the light socket. :) Haha, but compared to the light my Autometer Tach gives off..the dash still seems dim, haha. :D

throw some 168's in there and you'll notice a bigger difference..

You know how that goes half the work half the results :)
The dimmer for the dashlights does have a purpose when they are done right. |

You Like? Good to hear! :D
Of all the things I've ever posted here, I think that "brighter dash lights" thing has offered the greatest help. Add to that the brighter bulbs which people have suggested (which I have yet to do), and this is a GREAT, simple mod. Good team effort - afterall, that's what this place is all about. :metal: :canada: :bowtie: :flag: |
i have done this as well and it improved my lights, i have another similar mod in the works.... i run 168s, i tried colored 194s and they lasted all of about 30 secs.... then burnt out..
