Good Engine books

I'm gettin a new engine this winter and after I looked at the price of some crate engines and their prices I figured mabye I could do some of the stuff myself and build my own. I ordered a couple books from amazon called ...
1.John Lingenfelter on Modifying Small-Block Chevy Engines: High Performance Engine Building and Tuning for Street and Racing"
2"Engine Builder's Handbook: Inspection Machine Reconditioning Valvetrain Assembly Blueprinting Degreeing Cams Tools Engine Assembly"
3"How to Build Max Performance Chevy Small Blocks on a Budget (S-A Design)"
4"How to Build Horsepower"

Any suggestions on other books

If you're interested in making big HP numbers, Chevy High Performance (I think) put out a book with 10 or 15 sample build-ups, complete with parts list and dyno results. These may, at least, give you a starting point.

I just got a book that lists GM part numbers for all of the heads, blocks, cranks, valves, intakes, etc. that work with small block chevys.

I think it is great. I will have to look to see who wrote it.
